Graphic design is a creative process that combines art and technology to communicate ideas. Graphic design is a part of daily life and is used for everything from CD covers, to huge billboards, to T-shirts. The students will be using Adobe Illustrator which is the industry standard commercial software used by companies for print, multimedia and online graphics. Graphic design will open the door to many exciting careers for the future.

Lesson 4 - Evaluate Design
WALT: Adjust the Inquiry Learning project to achieve a professional standard ready for evaluation and printing.
Students will be evaluating their progress by completing their inquiry project ready for their final self-assessment. They will be assessing 3 key areas which are managing-self, problem solving and their completed design. Students will then print their designs on their chosen media ready to take home.
Eight lessons have gone by so quickly. I have really enjoyed having these students in my class, getting to know them and share in their creativity. Most of the students completed their inquiry project design with some awesome outcomes. I'm positive that there are some budding young designers in this group who will go on to doing great things. Thanks Pukaki for being an amazing class :-)

Sadly this is the last lesson for this class. I've really enjoyed teaching these students over the past 10 weeks. Everyone has made amazing progress with learning how to use Adobe illustrator to create their designs. The degree of creativity and skills demonstrated by the students is really impressive and I hope that some may pursue a future as a graphic designer.
